DULUTH, MN—Greenstone Group, a business coaching and consulting initiative focusing on entrepreneurial and business growth in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, has welcomed three spirited new Business Performance Coaches: Jim Laumeyer, Maxine Rhodes and Doug Swanstrom, announced Dean Minardi, CEO.

Jim Laumeyer is a leader in the peer and growth group areas of Greenstone Group. Retired from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, he is currently the CEO of Laumeyer Human Resource Solutions. Laumeyers coaching focus is the growth and improvement of business through mutual commitments and accountabilities. He focuses on skills, challenges, goals and the nurturing of strong relationships. Laumeyer has a B.A. from Macalester College, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He has also been published in Human Resources and Labor Relations.

Maxine Rhodes provides individual coaching to Greenstone Group entrepreneurs. She specializes in helping them use their individuality and creativity to enhance their business. With a background in both business management and ownership, she managed over 14 properties for Sage Corporation in St. Paul before coming to Duluth and owning two retail businesses. Shes also a devoted musician. I think the combination of my experience in business management with my passion for music and the arts is helpful in bringing out the creative side of entrepreneurs. Rhodes has a B.A. from the College of St. Scholastica, and a Masters of Science and Education/Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Doug Swanstrom coaches individual Greenstone Group entrepreneurs and facilitates growth groups. In addition, Doug operates Lakeside Consulting, working with northern Minnesota companies on management development, quality systems, lean manufacturing and human resources. Prior to developing Lakeside Consulting, Swanstrom spent a majority of his career at Cardiac Pacemaker Incorporated, managing high-tech medical device manufacturing, including pacemakers and the first implantable defibrillator. Swanstrom has a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, and a Masters degree from the University of Redlands, in Redlands, California.

The extensive experience of our coaches is vital to the success of our entrepreneurs, says Dean Minardi, CEO of Greenstone Group. Each individual entrepreneur and small business has distinctive needs which require unique attention and direction.
